Snapshots – 5/2021

Hello As I wrote in my last Snapshots post, I want to be less active on social media and focus on my homepage instead. You can still find my author page on Facebook. However, I mainly post links to my blog there. In the Snapshots category, I will post a monthly article with pictures from my mobile phone. Netherlands – Amsterdam

Amsterdam Amsterdam is the capital and, with 820,000 inhabitants, the most populous city in the Netherlands. Amsterdam is known for its countless canals, called Grachten. Founded in the 13th century, it takes its name from a dam in the Amstel River and is famous (among other things) for its openness, liberal nature, red-light district and legalization of marijuana. Niederlande – Amsterdam

Amsterdam Amsterdam ist die Haupt- und mit 820.000 Einwohner die einwohnerstärkste Stadt der Niederlande. Bekannt ist Amsterdam für die vielen Kanäle, die man Grachten nennt. Die im 13. Jahrhundert gegründete Siedlung hat ihren Namen von einem Damm in der Amstel und ist (neben vielen anderen Dingen) für ihre Offenheit, liberale Art, dem Rotlichtviertel und der Legalisierung von Marihuana berühmt. Wir verbrachten etwas mehr als drei Wochen auf einem Housesitting im Stadtteil Hoofddorppleinbuurt, nahe am Vondelpark gelegen. Schnappschüsse – 4/2021

Hallo Ich möchte mich mehr von Social Media distanzieren, da ich die Machenschaften und Richtlinien von z. B. Facebook schlichtweg für falsch halte. Instagram, WhatsApp und Twitter habe ich schon gelöscht, um eine geringe Nutzung von Facebook komme ich wegen meiner Autorenseite allerdings noch (!) nicht herum. Dort werde ich jedoch hauptsächlich Links zu meinem Blog posten und meine eigene Homepage ausbauen. Dementsprechend habe ich mir überlegt, dass ich einmal im Monat einen Beitrag mit Bildern von meinem Mobiltelefon online stelle. Gedichtanalyse – Feuer

Hallo, ich habe kürzlich die folgende E-Mail einer Gymnasiastin erhalten, die für eine Facharbeit in Deutsch eine Analyse meines Gedichts “Feuer” gemacht hat. Für die Präsentation hat sie sich überlegt, ob sie mit mir aka. dem Autor ein kleines Interview halten könnte. Mich hat das Ganze sehr gefreut und ich war, nach kurzer Absprache, selbstverständlich dabei. Germany – Lindau

Lindau – Sonthofen – Kempten – Starzlachklamm – The source of the Iller – Alpaca tour During the 2020 pandemic, my partner Tes and I spent ten days housesitting in Sonthofen in the Allgäu region at the end of May. We had eleven rescued cats to look after and visited a few places around Sonthofen. Somehow I didn’t manage to take more than five pictures in Sonthofen. But, I did take some in Lindau, Kempten, on an alpaca hike, in the Starzlachklamm and on a hike to the source of the Iller river. Deutschland – Lindau

Lindau – Sonthofen – Kempten – Starzlachklamm – Illerursprung – Alpakatour Während der Pandemie 2020 haben meine Lebensgefährtin Tes und ich Ende Mai zehn Tage in Sonthofen im Allgäu auf einem Housesitting verbracht. Wir hatten elf gerettete Katzen zu versorgen und haben in der kurzen Zeit einige Orte um Sonthofen besucht. Irgendwie habe ich es allerdings geschafft, in Sonthofen keine fünf Fotos zu schießen. Dafür sind in Lindau, Kempten, bei einer Alpakawanderung, in der Starzlachklamm und auf einer Wanderung zum Illerursprung einige Fotos entstanden. Empfehlung – Metro 2034

Hallo! Nachdem ich den ersten Band von Dmitri Gluchowskis “Metro-Reihe” gelesen hatte, habe ich mir den zweiten Teil “Metro 2034” vorgenommen. Auch hier kannte ich vorab das Playstation-Spiel, wobei es mit der geschriebenen Geschichte kaum etwas zu tun hat. Während man im Videospiel wieder in die Haut des Protagonisten aus dem ersten Teil schlüpft, erzählt Metro 2034 von Homer, Hunter und dem Mädchen Sascha.
